Anthony Greenwater is an inter-cultural specialist, negotiator and credentialed mediator, with federal sector experience in the Department of Energy, Bureau of Indian Affairs and the US Army. He has a long record in the design and coordination of complex projects and in the creative, collaborative resolution of conflicts at all scales. Examples include Equal Employment Opportunity discrimination cases, facilitated group discussions, and public controversies over groundwater transport of radionuclides, tribal water rights, environmental consequences of major oilfield developments, historic preservation within military training installations, repatriation of human remains and construction projects in the disputed border regions of Afghanistan. A former owner of LotuSIGN, he provides planning and logistical support.
Barbie Parker Greenwater, Founder and Director, is a professional American Sign Language interpreter with more than twenty years experience whose credits include organizing and leading interpreting services for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing at the 2013 Presidential Inauguration in Washington, DC. In addition to interpreting in governmental, educational, medical and business settings, Ms. Greenwater has interpreted more than 1,200 live music events. Featured in the New York Times and on the Today Show and the online PBS NewsHour, she provides cultural interface, organizational support and performance interpreting in the sometimes chaotic world of major music festivals, including Orion, SXSW, Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits Music Festival, where extensive pre-event planning, constant onsite attentiveness and unusually creative and expressive interpretations serve to meaningfully connect patrons with performing artists and the surrounding crowd.
Tresa Beard, Lead Interpreter, is a certified master American Sign Language interpreter (RID, CIC, NIC) with more than twenty-five years experience and a strong background in court and financial services interpretation. She mentors new interpreters and has trained others in the demanding practice of courtroom interpreting. Ms. Beard was previously the Director of Interpreting at the Texas office of the Deaf-owned non-profit Communication Services for the Deaf (CSD). She is a veteran performance interpreter of more than 800 live music shows.
